Friends, let me say Thank You for being so supportive of my crazy crafting habits. You all are the best. I want to say thanks by offering one lucky person a project from my Slim Stash endeavor!But... it isn't finished.
But... I took pictures anyway! The winner of this giveaway will receive a custom table runner from me! I used extra charms from my Make Life charm pack, some mega ultra super duper ric-rac, and backed it with a floral from the Make Life fabric line.
Apparantly my ability to count inches left with the birth of my second child. I hear it is a common side effect. My ric rac was 3 inches short for the other side... so I need to get more today... extra, just in case I get confused. Again.
I just did a meandering quilting pattern to quilt it, and then added the ric-rac on top of it. I stil lhave to bind it in the red fabric with white stars. It is going to be killer cute all finished up.

A fun summer idea for us is going to the farm. We have a local farm that has a petting zoo area, a playground and lots of activities for the little ones. Perfect for a nice summer's day!

Fun summer plans...we are going to a family reunion in June, have several camping trips in the works, and we're in the process of buying a house that we'll be spending a lot of our time fixing up.

Vacation Ideas? Well our family is going to camping at a lake, take a road trip to see family (Ok that's not really a vacation but a trip away anyway :) and then meet some friends half way between our houses for a weekend in a lake cabin! Hope you have a great family vacation whatever you end up doing!

We live in Oregon, so we usually head to the beach a few times each summer. Our kids are 6, 4 and almost 2 - and I am thinking I might get brave and plan a camping trip this summer. I am not much of a tent camper - at least not yet, and am hoping to find a campground with a yurt & electricity. I think it may be too late - but I can hope for a cancellation. :)

A fun summer idea that I saw but probably won't be able to do since I'm expecting is go down to St. George for a weekend getaway and see one of the shows at Tuacahn. I just recently saw that you can get deals called "sleep and show" where you can get a discount when you buy your hotel and show tickets together. I thought it sounded really fun! P.S. the runner is so very cute!

My favorite place to go for summer vacation is the Oregon Coast. It is one of the most beautiful places in the world all the way down the coast and so much to do. Plus the weather is good all year round, but especially during the summer. :)

Fun vacation ideas huh? Well, my family of six rarely ever goes on a vacation...we would be broke if we did. So, we do a lot of little things around the house/town each summer. Lots of day trips. One of our favorite things to do is to build a fire in the backyard and set up our tent and have a "camp out". It's my kind of camping since the bathroom is handy. :) I would like another entry please! Love this table runner!

One of my favourite things to do with my family in the summer time is go 'spelunking' (aka cave exploring)...there are some caves about an hour and a half away that I've gone to since I was a teenager. I love that it's always a perfect 10 degrees (Celsius...not sure what that'd be in F) on even the hottest days.
Love the ric-rac. I am starting to have a little obsession with jumbo ric-rac. BTW I am a follower already.
Leaving CA and going to Texas for 2 weeks for my brother 40th b-day. My husband has been planning the trip around Dinners, Dive-ins and Dives. I have been looking up quilt shops near this places. Hopefully we will have fun and I won't come home a dress size bigger. Luckly my bro walks every morning so I will be joining him.

This year we wont be going on holiday, we just bought our first house so that will be limiting us a little! I think we might have a "staycation" instead. We will have a few days out in our local area , we can set up a little pool in our garden and drink "cocktails" with little unberellas. We are fortunate to live by the seaside so we can spend some time at the beach. But it is Scotland so we may have our winter gear on! xx

We are going to vacation on the beautiful sand dunes of Lake Michigan...very kid friendly.
Cute! Great use of the fabric. We're going to a dude ranch with my husband's family this summer (don't know if it's an awesome idea, or going to kill me, but I digress).
I am a follower, have been for a while now. I always make quilts and give them away, so to win something that someone else has made would be great! And it would look great on top of my piano!
We don't have too many plans for summer, except swimming lessons and therapeutic horseback riding. We are going to a lovely family camp in June for cancer survivors and their families. My son is the survivor. We go to a church camp and are thoroughly spoiled. Many activities on the lake, campfire, mountain biking, fishing, geocaching, archery, art projects, too many great things to list. Maybe you can find a great local activity that you've never done too, you'd be surprised what you can find in your own back yard (local area) without looking very hard. Good luck!

Vacation plans: I'm not sure which state you're in; we're in Virginia which has SO much history. There are so many things to do that don't cost money! My favorite thing is riding the Blue Ridge Parkway, hiking trails, and having a picnic.

This summer, I am flying with my two girls to NY (from CA) to visit my parents. Once we spend a week there, we're all driving to NC to spend a week with my entire family on the beach - I can't wait!

I have a twin sister with two kids that are nearly the same age as my two kids. Every summer, I go spend a week with her and everybody is happy, me because I'm with my best friend since the womb, and the kiddos because they get to spend time with the cousins. (which is the recipe for a good vacation - something for everyone!)

Our plans are very cost-conscious this year! We are simple and enjoy just going to the lake and fishing off the dock. We don't care much what we catch... we simply enjoy the peacefulness of the lake and how relaxing it is.

You stay home and do fun things around your community, like the local zoo one day, warkpark the another (or public pool), maybe a mini shop trip at the mall or outlet(depending on the ages of the kids), local museums, local science centers, or something simple like takeing abike ride to a local park and have a picnic.
The best part about all of these...you're not living out of a suitcase for a week, which also means that you did NOT forget to pack anything.
And as always don't for the camera and take a LOT of pictures

Best family vacation in MHO is a camping trip! Whether near or far, some of our best memories are from camping trips with the kids. It's a way to become (very) close, commune with nature, and wear the kids out! :-)

One of our favorite summer holiday traditions is to go strawberry picking! We love it because we always get really awesome summer pictures (my husband and I are photographers) and our girls love it because they get a free for all in an entire field of strawberries (their favorite)!

Summer Plans?? Going to my daughters out-of-state to see visit with my new granddaughter. And spending time at the beach when we get back.
I live in California, there are so many great summer vacation locations here. Try Laguna Beach for summer art festivals or Dana Point for that small town beachy feel. San Francisco for great atmosphere, restaurants and theater. Los Angeles for Disney, Knotts, Universal Studios, Magic Mountain, etc. Or San Diego for Legoland, Sea World and the famous weather.
