I’m sure you, like everyone else, has something you want to do better this year. For me, I want to be a better mom. There is much to improve upon there! I also want to make more friends- one can never have too many friends.
This here blog also got some goals. I love blogging and crafting and sewing and then sharing it all! So this year is going to be fun. Simple, but fun.
Are you busy organizing everything? My craft room got messier yesterday when I had to empty a bin to use for the new baby’s clothes. We don’t have a dresser drawer for her, so I had to re-think things a bit… right now the floor in the craft room is barely visible. Why do things get messier before they get cleaner?? I did get the chance today to arrange my Pyrex a little better, though. I was very happy.
I am highly considering opening up the Crafty Cupboard etsy shop once again, since looking over our 2011 crafty spending made me wince! I might even toss a baby quilt or two in there. I am looking for inspiration everywhere now.
We are adjusting to this new baby perfectly fine; she unfortunately has a cranky time after the other girls go to bed (her only cranky time!), so my usual sewing time is being used holding a little baby. Not like I mind, she’s awesome. She’s going through her baby acne stage right now so… no pictures ;) They are my children, that is for sure!
All right, I have a date with pink spray paint. See ya!

That Pyrex... is... allIeverwantedandmore.
And you're not the only one who makes messy to get to clean. I'm thankful for a husband who doesn't judge if he catches me knee-deep in cleaning.
Thanks for sharing the Pyrex photo. I'm a tad giddy.
Mel, let's be REAL friends, not just choir friends who occasionally hung out in high school. I mean it. You and your kiddos are coming over for a play date soon! :)
Have fun with your goals, and, of course, the pink spray paint! Happy new year :o)
Your pyrex collection is awesome! I do keep an eye open but sure don't come across too much of it. (shaking head)
And I sure know what you mean about things getting messier before they get better. I have a closet that is full. It holds towels, linen, easter baskets, wrapping paper, craft supplies from when the kids were small, you get the idea. I know that if I clean it up, lots of stuff will qualify for garbage day but I also know that the cupboard will still be full when I put back the rest and my big fear is that there will be stuff left over that there won't be room for in the same closet. There it is: the answer to "Why don't you clean that closet?" Will this clarification get me to do it? I don't know. Maybe.
I want to make the orbit gum quilt now, thanks :) If I ever get to sew again...
We're getting over some severe baby acne at our house, as well. Poor Cora's face was at its worst on Christmas day. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it is not a preview of her teenage years!
